Inspiration for design can come from many places. Travel, art, and culture are big influences for inspiration. But one of the biggest artforms we are surrounded by in Nashville, Tennessee is Music! A song can transform your mind and pull emotions out of you that cannot be expressed any other way. So, here is our latest Room inspired by a song- The Jewel Box Dining Room.
A ROOM DESIGNED BY A SONG – INTUITION BY JEWEL
This Jewel Box Dining Room is elegant, rich, and full of texture. The Room’s contemporary style embraces minimalistic elements while keeping organic accents and sleek thoughtful details throughout.
The Room is inspired by Jewel’s song, Intuition. While the song is all about following your heart and leaning into your intuition, it is our plea with every client, that they will say no to boring spaces and allow color and texture to surround them. We know it will change how they live! One way we encourage this is to show our clients one option that they asked for and then the another option that will challenge them. I always like to have our clients give us their emotional responses to the designs, and let their intuition lead them on the best design for them.
Jewel Box’s style is Contemporary with a Color Fusion. The way to achieve this look is keeping minimal details and lots of curves. While texture can play a huge part, the choice of color pulls you in!
The jewel tones of Emerald and Rose Quartz show up boldly in the rug and window treatments. The perfect compliment to the deep colors are the natural blonde wood tone in the Dining Room table and accent wall. The buffet has a soft silver tone on tone to contrast nicely against the wall.
For the seating area, the Dining table and chairs are thoughtfully proportioned so that they balance each other. The sculptural table is paired with bucket seating on gold tubular frames. The chairs are so light that they appear to be floating- a dream really!
This Dining Room also has a hint of Art Deco influence that is prevalent in the table, chairs, archway, and lighting. In design you have to find ways to make the space your own. First, you select the design elements you like, then build in layer of color and texture so they pair nicely together and your room doesn’t fall flat! Follow your Intuition!
Jewel Box – Decadent and luxurious in nature, built on determination to have a style all your own.
