Transforming an outdated kitchen into a stunning modern navy masterpiece, involves a series of thoughtful design decisions and planning. This drab white kitchen underwent a dramatic transformation as we completely gutted it, getting rid of the peninsula that was creating a separation from the breakfast table and got rid of all appliances on an angle.
With the introduction of a sleek, blue ombre tile design from Artistic Tile, we centered the entire room around this as the focal point above the cooktop. To compliment the tile and add contrast to the bright white cabinets, we decided the dramatic large island and hood needed to be a dramatic navy. Lighting plays a crucial role in this transformation. Under-cabinet lighting and modern pendants over the island adds another layer to this design. The hardware warms up the blues with a honey bronze gold that bounce around to the faucet, lighting and even the appliances.
What made this project so much different from any other is that this client went through this renovation with us straight through the pandemic! We fondly named this job 'Don't Jump Ship', both to reflect the navy color showcased and the bravery of this client moving forward through unforeseen circumstances.
Reflecting on their experience, our client expressed, "Rebecca did a phenomenal job planning and coordinating our full kitchen renovation. Working with her and Alyssa made what otherwise would have been a time consuming and stressful renovation so much easier! No detail was overlooked. We are in love with the final product and are cooking more than ever before in our beautiful, functional space! Couldn’t recommend Monarch Interiors more highly!" - Eva J.
