About this Project

We turned this outdated living room into a relaxing family entertaining space! The Living Room is that central place where you gather with friends, relax after a long day, or cuddle up with loved ones for your favorite show. No two Living Rooms are the same! It all depends on how you – LIVE. Here at Monarch Lane Interiors, we believe every home should be a place that supports your unique way of living. It should be functional and livable. This client saw past the outdated furniture and drapes and saw to the good bones of the coffered ceiling, natural light and gorgeous fireplace mantel. So, we decided to refresh this space to better reflect their style! This client only had a pair of sofas they wanted to keep and nothing else to fill this room, and with that we got to work!
First thing was first, we needed to highlight the gorgeous coffered ceiling our client fell in love with. We painted the moulding part of the ceiling a brighter white and picked a serene blue to really draw your eye upwards, while we treated the walls with a textured grass wallpaper. 
Playing off the blue, we sourced furniture that really spoke to their love of traveling to the beach each year. Our client spoke of how she loves the calming sea breeze and sandy shores and wants to incorporate that feeling into her home. We took down the heavy curtains and left the doors free to be used easier. Making this room the center of the home.
