This home underwent a stunning remodel, blending modern design with classic charm. This living room had an entire room above it, closing off the ceiling and giving this room a cave like feel. Along with Four Square Architects this room became a modern sanctuary, with a raised roof that invites the outdoors in. We added beams to the ceiling and molding to the walls to create dimension to this new open floor plan. New windows placed high up lets light pour in to really bring this room to life. The entryway to the house felt closed off and from a past life, we carried the bright white wall color and picture frame molding in from the living room to give these spaces some consistency. The staircase was updated and a new carpet runner cascading down carried so much warmth with it to really ground this bright space.
The original room we got rid of above the living room was their daughter's playroom, so we turned this upstairs storage room into a pre-teen's dream room. She fell in love with a dramatic navy cheetah print wallpaper that we based the design of the room off of, painting the cabinetry the same rich navy. Thinking through a functional but cute desk set up to focus on homework and a cozy reading nook with a wicker hanging pendant was on her must have list. Giving her a place to make her own as she grew up was a priority to our client and to us.
Around the corner from the living room, was a powder bathroom that just wasn't impressing any guests. This is one of those bathrooms where the wallpaper really made this space. People can't stop talking about this wallpaper!
And finally the master bathroom, was completely transformed into a classy, serene escape for our client to take time to themselves in the midst of their busy schedules.
