Published in this month’s issue of Nashville Interiors, we want to share with you our Belle Maison project.

This home is located in the Oak Hills area of Nashville and on a gorgeous property. With the homeowner being a high end realtor with amazing taste, we had a lot of fun collaborating with our client and the Architects on what we could do with this house.

The house was beautiful before but very dark in the main rooms. So with our Architect, Andrew Heideman from Four Square Design Studio, we were able to take out an entire portion of the second floor. With the placement of new windows and beams, this allowed a ton of light to flood the home.

We were also working on several rooms in this home. Below are some of the Kitchen Design drawings. We opened up another wall so that it would allow the light coming from the front of the house to filter through. We also added windows to the sink wall and the breakfast nook to get more natural light coming in all while enjoying their beautiful pool and back yard.

The Design

In this Kitchen, which we also call our Island Amour Project, we gave them a grand island with seating at one end and tons of workspace and storage. In a Kitchen this size, you have two sinks for sure. We placed a sink in the island next to the range for easy clean up. At the far end of the Kitchen in the old breakfast nook we added a window to the back and then placed chairs for a more casual place to have your morning coffee. With the opposite wall being opened up the the living room which now has tons of extra light due to opening up the front of the house, the entire first floor is more connected and bright!

The Afters!

In this home we also did a powder room with a fun and unexpected wallpaper

… The Primary Bathroom which is crisp and clean.

… And a new kid space for their daughter

We added wallpaper to two different places for an accent. One we did on a wall, then opposite of that, we did the wallpaper behind the entertainment unit. This room is perfect for reading or hanging out with friends!
